  1. Candle making: There were candles made in this parish long ago in the townsland of Castlenancy by Mr Sullivan in the year 1880. The candles were made from tallow and rushes. He had shapes made of pewter like the candles nowadays, and with those he used shape the candles.
    Basket making: There baskets made in this district long ago by James Canning in the townsland of Barrera in the year 1887. He used peel the sallows and boil them, and he used to make them from willows also.
    Ploughs: Ploughs were made in Derrybrian by Mr Sheehan. He made the ploughs from wood and he made drafts of briars and with those they ploughed in olden times.
    Churn of and barrel making: Churns and barrels were made in this parish i oldent time by Mr Hogan
    Burning lime in kilns: There was a lime kiln in every parish in oldent times. There was a lime kiln
