  1. In olden times the people used to eat three meals a day, the breakfast, the dinner and the supper. The people did a lot of work before their breakfast such as bring home a cart of turf and sometimes cut four or five acres of hay with a scythe before breakfast. The breakfast was taken at about 10 o'clock and it consisted of porridge.
    The dinner was taken at about 1 o'clock and it consisted of potatoes. The people ate the potatoes out of a sciob in the middle of the floor. For the supper the people had oaten bread and sometimes potato cake and it was eaten at about 7 o'clock. The table was placed the wall when they were eating their meals.
    The people used to eat hedgehogs for meat in olden times. They used to skin those hedgehogs and boil them.
