    (1.) Hop - scotch
    (2.) Jack stones

    Hop - scotch is played at all times of the year. It is played in the following way. First of all you draw seven straight lines with about a half a yard between each line so as to form six parts called beds. Then you draw two lines down the side so as to make the game more difficult to be played. Whoever is to start gets a piece of a slate and throws it into the first bed and hop along to the end, but she has to be careful not to hop on a line or if she does she is out and if she doesn't she does the same thing over again until they buy a bed and if he does not he is out and then another person takes his place and so on until all the beds are bought.
    Jack stones are played in Summer. They are played
