  1. The enchanted kitchen
Long ago there was a house in Killavoggy and a party would gather into eight every night. One night a friend named Mick McHugh was sleeping in kitchen in a settle bed. After the people of the house went to bed the crowd gathered as before. They came up to the bed when Mick was lying and looked in at him but said nothing only laughed. The man didn’t know what to do and he could not get out of bed to alarm the people of the house, so he thought he was better stay where he was. The party cooked and danced until day- break. When the people of the house got up in the morning nothing seemed to be touched. This continued night after night until the people had to leave the house and sell the farm.
