  1. It is my Mother that does the churning. If any people come in during churning they generally take a brash to put good luck on the churning. It is churned with the hands about this locality and the dash is worked up and down. Some people put cold water to cool the milk. The butter is taken off with a strainer and sometimes with the hand.
