  1. Candle making
    Long ago when there were no factories the people used to make their own candles. The following is an account of how they were made. The people used to have a lead or tin mould, the same shape as a candle. They used to buy a cotton wick and put it down the centre of the mould and fasten it at both ends. The suet from the cow when melted was called "tallow" and was poured into the mould
