  1. Even in a small parish like Tarbert places of interest are to be seen. The places of interest I am going to talk about now are "Fairy Forts", that are supposed to have been built by the Danes.
    Down the island road at the back of the Bridewell the remains of an old fort are to be seen. Over in Scanlan's field in Kilpadogue there is another one. Those two are circular in shape and trees are growing around them. There is supposed to be an
