  1. Long ago people made their own toys as there were no factories.
    Here is the picture of a home-made golliwog made from pieces of woollen thread tied and decorated with woollen threads.
    Little girls made their own dolls out of little bags of cloth which they stuffed with straw or sawdust from the local carpenter's shop. The bag to represent the head was stuffed with rags. The eyes nose and mouth were drawn with coloured
