  1. My grandfather told me the following ghost story last Saturday night. He lives in our house. He is 91 years old, and can remember many things that happened long ago. This is what happened to himself once upon a time, when he was a young boy of about 30 years.
    I know of a ghost story of this district. This is the story as follows:-
    Once upon a time my grand-father was going on a visit to Easkey. He brought the horse and cart with him. When he was gone five or six miles, a big turkey cock came out from the side of the road. After a while the turkey cock turned into a big cat. He jumped up on the cart. He was as heavy as the horse could not carry him.
    The man stopped to feed the horse, and the cat jumped down
