  1. There is gold supposed to be hidden underneath the entrance to Florence Horgans residence at Rathenny. It was placed there by a landlord some sixty years ago who was known as "Old Geoffrey" whose ships sank at Fenit. This man was the only survivor of the crew and he brought gold which was supposed to be valued at a thousand pounds or more. After some time he committed some terrible crime in Tralee. He was mobbed. His mobbers crushed him. When he was dying his last words were "Oh my gold and all the stones that are down on it". Since then many efforts have been made by the
