  1. Once upon a time a man who was coming home from town at about 12 o clock in the night saw an umbrella which he went to pick up but which disappeared just as he attempted to catch it. It appeared a second time he tried to pick it up but it vanished as he went to grasp it.
He travelled farther saw it a third time, attempted to catch it but again it failed him thus causing him much humiliation as he thought he heard a number of people jeering, laughing and making fun of him. He travelled on till he came to a place called “Park a Pike” being unable to proceed any farther on the road he determined to cross the field to a house nearby, he tried to enter the house but was held back by some unseen force.
