  1. little village to arrest the patriot priest. Why? Because he loved his country and tried to help his people that was the charge. He spent two months in Cork Jail. His P.P. went with him and when the news of his arrest reached Cork an immesse crowd accompanied by bands came to meet him.
    He was released amid every manifestatation of joy – bands, bonfires, etc. He was born near Mitchelstown in 1850. Came to Fermoy in 1901, and died in 1912.
