- The most harmful weed on our farm are Dockleaves, because they spread rapidly and are very hard to remove. They also make the soil poor. The juice hat is in the heart of them cures Sunburn, by rubbing it to the affected part.
Nettles grow where land is rank. Hearts are cured, by boiling the nettles, and drinking the juice. To throw salt on the roots helps to banish them.
The Redshank grows in blackground, among cabbage and potatoes. Bohallauns are injurious to th land. It grows often to two feet in height, and broad leaves grow on it. A yellow flower is to be seen growing on this weed. They generally grow in fertile soil. It is said that sheep are the only animals that eat them.
Thistles are harmful because they make the soil poor. Donkeys generally eat them. When a person has Asthma he boils Crawdáns in water.
