    There were two fellows one time by the name of Mike Murphy and James Nolan.

    There were two fellows one time by the name of Mike Murphy and James Nolan. They lived somewhere in Haystown in the Co. Winsford. Mike Murphy was going away to England at the time of this story. Mike and James went to Bree public house on the night before Mike's departure. They had a few drinks and then they left the public house and started for home. James got a little drop too much and he was hardly able to stand at all, but Mike although he had as much drink taken as James was able to carry himself better. They travelled on anyhow until they came to a certain part of the road. There was a gate there going into a field, and there were a crowd of boys and girls at it
