    His wife sowed the buttons and pressed the suits. Two other tailors lived in Ballydehob. William Sullivan and Regan who had a great trade. The shirts were made at home and the socks were hand knit.
    Quilting.
    This was a great trade amongst women. They spun the frieze at home and then placed it on a timber frame and covered it with a kind of silk cloth. They sold these quilts for 15/- to neighbours.
