    town land derives its name as it is called "Goulanes."
    On the western side of Mount Gabriel, Fionn ploughed three scrapes in a large stretch of rock. It is said that these scrapes are ploughed as horses would plough in common ground. The scrapes are still to be seen as deep as they were at first.
