    possessed only a few books. They made the best use of what books they had. The parents of the children paid the master.
    The remains of Lisquilabeen school are not to be seen, as is evident, since it was only made of timber.
    I was informed by old people of my neighbourhood that they attended school there, and they can point out to this day where it was built.
