    When a cow is after calving people sprinkle Easter water on both cow and calf and they do likewise when letting them off on the grass after being in for the winter.
    Long ago when people were finished milking the cow they made the sign of the cross with the froth off the milk on the side of the udder.
    When a calf had a pain they would turn him up on his back and then turn him to the other side saying at the same time "In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
    Long ago the people brought the young calves into the kitchen for a few days to get strong because they thought a lot about them. In fact they used to say the Blessed Cow and the Blessed Ass on account of their being in the
