    The robin builds her nest in a mossy ditch, from moss and cattle-hair. She lays 5 or 6 white eggs with brown spots.
    The thrush builds her nest in the root of a tree from moss and mud. She lays 4 blue eggs with brown spots. She sits on them 3 weeks.
    The skylark builds her nest on the ground from feathers and moss. She lays 6 white eggs, with brown spots on them, and sits on them 20 days.
    The blackbird builds her nest in briars, from moss alone. She lays 5 brown eggs and sits on them 20 days. One day she dipped her beak in honey and it became yellow.
