- The Leprechaun is supposed to be a fairy which makes shoes, and people say that if you catch one of these fairies and hold him tightly and not let him go he will tell you about the crock of gold but that if you look aside for a second you will not see him when you look back. It is said he will try every way to trick you.
He wears a cocked hat, a red coat, and kneebreeches, yellow stockings and turned-up shoes with buckles. I never knew of any person about here to catch one. The way you will catch the leprechaun is(continues on next page)- Collector
