    Potato-bread.
Peel boiled potatoes and mash them. Then put salt and flour in and mix them together. When it is stiff, shape it into quarters. Then put it into a cake-tin and put it in the oven. When it is baked cut it up and put butter on it.
    Pan-Cakes.
Put flour, soda and salt into a baisin. Mix milk through them. Then put the batter on a pan and when it is fried take it off and put butter and castor sugar on it. People make pan-cakes on Shrove Tuesday night.
