- One evening at dusk a man was going home from the fair riding.
When he was in Lisnahedherna one mile to the North of Cross, a big sack of wool hopped out of the hedge and sat before him on the saddle. It stayed there till he went a mile or so then it bounded off into the hedge. The man got an awful fright, but he got home safely.- Informant
