    Most people married in Meelick in Shrove, but before Advent is also a popular time.
    At present very few are married on Shrove Tuesday, but it was a common occurrence in time gone by.
    Lucky days - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
    The other weekdays unlucky
    Old Rhyme:-
    Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
    Wed. the best day of all
    Thurs. for losses,
    Fri. for crosses,
    And Sat. no luck at all.
    Lucky months - June & November.
    Unlucky - May.
