    Rice and pudding with currants and eggs was common at Xmas .Eggs at Easter.Great comparing as to who ate the greatest number.Often a spoon was specially hidden for some time before.
    Oatmeal gruel made very thin was used as a special drink on all Blackfast days.Cups were not common .Mugs and pigins were in use.
