    the blackbird build their nests in the bushes, the wren in the house eaves, the lark, in the bog, the mag-pie in the bush, and the will-i-wagtail in the wall.
    The thrush makes its nest of moss. She lays brown eggs with blue dots. The mag-pie makes its nest of sticks. She lays blue eggs with black dots. The birds hatch the eggs three weeks and then the young birds come out.
    When the swallows fly low it is the sign of rain and when the sea-gulls come into the land and are heard roaring it is the sign of bad weather.
