  1. There was a water-horse seen often at Lisearney Lake. Once upon a time Mrs Morrison saw a water-horse coming swimming in the lake. Her house is not far from the lake and she could hear the noise coming through the water. She said it seemed to be swimming on its side like an ordinary horse. When it came to the brink it ran about and then went into a greenfield and ate there for half an hour. After a while it went in again. Many people after saw a crowd of water-horses grazing in the fields above the bank.
