He was taking a cow to the fair and the girl told him to leave the night before the fair and go to a certain lord's place and to ask to see the lord himself so as to get a place for the cow for the night. The boy set off to do as she told him. He called at the lord's leaving the cow outside the door. The lord was very angry when he saw the cow and ordered the boy away.
