bringing the frieze he left it in the carthouse. When he went to the little man the latter asked him for the frieze and he said that when it started raining he went into a cart house for shelter and left the frieze after him. Then the man said "go and get the frieze" so he went but could not find it. He then thought the ground might have swallowed it up while he was away, so he started to dig up the floor of the cart_house. In the course of his digging he found not the frieze, but a pot of gold. He raced home with the good news to his mother, and they were rich for the rest of their lives.
