  1. A churn is kept in every farm,and it is a very useful vessel to have. The upstanding churn is the oldest and most common on this district .This churn is a small barrel with a long handle coming to a circle at the bottom.This handle is known as the churn-staff.
    The churns are made in every week in every farmhouse during the Summer.After the butter has been taken out of the churn it is washed three or four times.Then it is
