   Once there was a woman who lived somewhere in Eyries. This woman got sick & was dying. People who came to see her thought she didn't look like herself atall. Her husband went to Máire Ní Mhurchadha to see if could tell her the meaning of it. She told him to gather six strong men and get a boat and go across the kerry. She said that the woman that was sick was not his own wife. She said that when he would reach the shore that he would see six or seven men on horse back & that his own wife would be on the second last horse. The man did as he was told & when he had six men gathered he set off. Every thing happened as Máire Ní Murchadha told him. She also told him that another boat would follow him, but if they reached the shore before them they would be safe. The man took his own wife off the horse & the boat followed them as Máire Ní Mhurchadha told him. They just reached the shore before it. When they came home the woman that was sick was gone. The woman that was saved lived many years after.
