  2. There was a man in this neighbourhood best known as Pat Hayes and he told me he was one day minding cows near Kilmacabea Cemetery during the famine years. He saw two men holding the horse's reins at both sides coming towards him. When they came nearer he knew them. They stopped to speak to him They had their dead brother in the Car and his two legs were hanging out behind over the tail board The buried him without a coffin and worse still the two brothers were buried within a month.
