- It is said by the old people of the district that there is a hidden treasure in Knigh Castle.
It was put there by an old man. One night robbers came to take the money from him, and he put it in the castle. The robbers killed the man and the money is there still.
Two men went one night to look for the treasure, but a 12 o'clock fairies came and hunted them away, warned them not to come back any more under pain of death. The treasure is valued at £50,000. The treasure is guarded by a black dog.
One night a man was looking at sheep in the field where the hidden treasure is hidden.
He turned to go home, but he could not find his way. He remained walking around the field, and when morning came he found his way home.
