  1. Long ago there lived a woman by the name of Mrs Sinnott and she lived in Balliaslaney and she was famous for making straw hats. All the people from all parts brought straw to her to make hats. She made them very well. She made all kinds of hats. She made a lot of money on them. This woman lived in Ballinaslaney in the year 1856.
