- Once upon a time there lived a man in Coolmain by the name of Michael Connolly. He was a Cooper by trade. He used to make churns and keilers and firkins for holding butter and he sold them to the people of the parish. This man lived in Coolmain about 40 years ago. When he died his sons took up the trade and made a good deal out of it as well. At present time there are Connollys living in a place called Castle Sow farming.
