loot of gold hidden about twenty yards from my house. There are four lakes in the district. All the lakes are sources of rivers and these rivers flow into the Threenog. One of the lakes knowas a Lough Coughlin is supposed to be enchanted. It is said that a ship was seeing floating on its waters, some nights long ago. There are lots of fish in the lakes. In the year eighteen hundred and thirty-nine a big storm arose, nothing ever since was witnessed since it. The perch and pike were east up on the bank about a hundred yards. there is a small island in another of the lakes, there are many foxes in it at present.
