    There was a captain along with them and he carried a weapon. He handed in a note to someone in the house. The attendant carried them large buckets of beer. If they were well treated they would dance with the bride. If they are not well treated they break windows and carry away gates. As a rule the bride was left in her fathers' home for a week. Her husband and his friends brought her home. This was called the "hauling home". On that night another wedding was held.
