    women. They told him that it was a witch who changed them into the shape of sheep, when they would not tell her where her son was, and she came every night and beat and kick them, and was after them when he saw them. When he spoke they saw her fall, and when they went back she was dead.
    The man married one of the beautiful women, and the rest of them presented him with a pan of gold. They lived happily ever after.
