    Then he moved off until he got into the deep water, he whistled as he went along, and the river was thick with eels after him. The people could see a mane on his back like a horses mane, and he was equal to one in size. When he got as far as Foxford the people had nets set for salmon. He got caught in the nets.
    He splashed water all over the town, and brought the nets with him. The people gathered around and caught abundance of eels after him. Then he went along as far as Lough Conn, and he was never seen again.
