- There used to be a shirt factory in Letterkenny. It was situated where the Technical School is now. The man who owned it was called Henderson. A great many people made shirts at home and took them in to his factory. The people in the factory would not take the shirts if they were dirty and if they had a smoky smell they would not take them either. The button holes had to be neatly done also. They people who made the shirts only got half a crown a dozen for making them.
