    Through the doorway in procession
    Pass the saints in single file.
    In each heart a strange obscession
    On each face a mystic smile.
    Brother Watters loudly preaches,
    Preaches with a voice of power.
    Says the world is near destruction
    It might end at any hour.
    When I stood with head uncovered,
    While in silent prayer they kneel,
    Some mischievous spirit whispered
    "All is hollow and unreal."
    Marvel not" oh foolish mortal
    At the sight you here behold.
    Know ye not the ancient maxim
    "All that glitters is not gold."
    Not with awe but scorn and pity
    View the curious scene within
    Cults akin to superstition,
    "Dark delusions worse than sin".
