   speckled with a lot of darker brown spots. The thrush eats worms, snails and insects. It if finds a snail box it carries it in its beak to a large stone and hits it against the stone till it breaks it and then it eats the inside of it. The thrush's nest is usually found among bushes and is made with withered grass and is lined with mud. The thrush usually lays five eggs and they are of a blue colour.

2. Birds - The Blackbird

   The blackbird, thrush and robin are the commonest birds around this district. There are lots of them all the year round.
   The blackbird is about the size of a thrush but not the same colour it is a glossy black colour and its legs are yellow and it has a yellow bill. It builds a round nest made of fog and lined with dirt. The nest is usually seen in briars along the ditch. She lays four eggs which are of a greenish colour. She sits on them about ten days then the young ones
