  1. Lord Leitrim owned two castles, one in Leitrim and the other in Donegal. He was one of the Clement family or supposed to be at least. He was a very harsh and cruel man. When his tenants would have the field ready to set or sow the crop he often made them level it back and labour a fresh one. He was so bad to his Leitrim tenants that there was an unsuccessful attempt made on his life in Mohill. Seemingly he was worse to his tenants in Donegal as four of them went up on one of its mountain in the dead of
