  1. Townland of Drumdart - Barony of Mohill County Leitrim
    The first Landlord of Drumdart that can be traced was a Mr Slacke. He lived in the townland of Drumdart and his land is now ours. Locally known as [?] Slacke on account of his eccentricity he bestowed favours on many of his tenants in the form of leases of their holdings
    He was generally regarded as a kind over-Lord in comparison with many of his class. He was particularly fond of horses and dogs, and they were the means of his death. His favourite horse fell a victim to the dread disease of farcy; his dog then became infected and in treating the terrible ailment, which now comes under the Contagious Diseases Act, himself succumbed to the awful disease
