  1. Meals People Had in Olden Times
    In olden times people ate only three meals a day. These meals were breakfast dinner and supper.
    People went out at seven o clock to work, and they brought a piece of oaten meal in their pocket. They came in for their breakfast at ten o' clock.
    The breakfast consisted of oaten porridge and butter milk. The dinner consisted of potatoes salt and butter milk. Sometimes they would have boxty for their supper.
    At dinner time the family sat round a basket of potatoes on the middle of the floor. At breakfast and supper they sat at a table.
    This table would be hung up on a side wall when not in use. This table had only one leg, and
