  1. The old people had many good cures, for sores, burns, and cuts. Arra when boiled is supposed to be a good cure for rheumatism.
    Pickle is said to be good for a sprain. Throatwort or foxglove when made into a broth and used as a medicine is a cure for a sore throat.
    Unsalted butter is believed to be an excellent cure for a cut. Moss is supposed to be a cure for sore eyes.
    Cranesbill and bog water is a cure for a cow having the blood murrain.
