  1. I dwell in Tarmons.
    The name Tarmons, meaning sanctuary, is found in places in which there was a monastery.
    It is said that there was a monastery just at the spot where William Dalton lives.
    Any criminal, fleeing from the justice, obtained sanctuary when got within the lands owned by the monks.
    Dooncaha is situated west of Tarmons. The name mean "the fort of the battle" but the old people can give no account of the armies that fought there.
    In Tarmons there is a district called "Ballintubber".
    In this district is a holy well dedicated to Saint
