  1. When the sun goes down red it is the sign of good weather.
    A ring around the moon is a sign of rain. When the stars sparkle brightly at night we are sure to have frost.
    The south wind brings most rain to my district.
    Swallows flying low is an omen of rain and when they are flying high it is an omen of good weather. When the sea-birds fly inland we are sure of stormy weather at sea. If the cat sits with his back to the fire it is an omen of rain.
    A rainbow in the morning is an omen of bad weather, while a rainbow in the night is an omen of good weather.
