  1. Once upon a time there lived a woman in Ardfert who was very wicked. She was a black Protestant and hated Catholics. At the same time there lived a young priest who was very handsome. The lady fell in love with the priest and asked him to elope with. The priest was disgusted and soon the story went round very quick. Some weeks after there was a fair in Ardfert and there were three jobbers at it. They heard the story and went to the Lady's tomb and tore her body asunder.
