  1. One evening two boys were going for the cows. They had a course piece of down near the Dooloughs in Droumdirralough called the "Caol". They used to go for the cows every evening. One evening as they were bringing the cows they sas a small man wearing a red jacket and he beckoned at them to come towards them but they ran off in terror of their lives. But in all probability had they waited they might have got some of the gold.
