  2. Several travellers used to houses here long ago.
    It is not the same travellers that some about always.
    The Foleys from Caherciveen,
    McCarthys and Delaneys from Listowel and Lyons from Tralee are the families that went about long ago.
    The families that go aboutstill are the Coffeys from Beaufort, the Briens and Cronins from Castleisland, the Currans from Glencar and Connors from Cork.
    The Coffeys are travellers that call here the oftenest now.
    Travellers called tinkers and pedlars sell laces, saucepans, gallons, brooches and bias binding.
    This place is infected with travellers of the tinker type for weeks before and after "Puck Fair" which is held in Killorglin on the 10th, 11th, 12th of August.
